D.C.-based Mike Surratt and the Continentals stand ready to venture into the unchartered waters of Concert Series polka band performances.  This tireless, hardworking ensemble has played together for 50 years, expanding from their beginnings as an Oom-pah band to the versatile group they are today.  Accordionist / Keyboardist Mike Surratt leads this eclectic group of musicians, whose repertoire ranges from international polka favorites to popular dance hits.  Expect Oktoberfest standards, familiar drinking songs, and other numbers that will get you dipping, flapping, and spinning on the dance floor.

Get up and dance—or at least tap your toes—to the happy beat of polka. We’re kicking off the 2023-24 season on October 27th at 7 p.m. with an evening of music, dance, and an authentic Oktoberfest menu! Mike Surratt and the Continentals lead the party with a smorgasbord of musical styles, ranging from polka favorites and waltzes to popular hits spanning decades.

We're thrilled to announce that we will be hosting our Oktoberfest at the stunning Ten Oaks Ballroom! This change ensures that our event will be as festive and enjoyable as ever, with even more space to dance, dine, and celebrate as the Social Hall is occupied by St. Louis School this fall while the school is undergoing roof repairs. Along with this change in venue, we’re excited to announce that Zeffert and Gold will be catering this year’s celebration!
