Christmas at St. Louis

“Christmas at St. Louis” is one of Clarksville’s favorite holiday traditions, and this year we’re adding a luminous new twist. Alongside traditional carols, sacred music, and treasured holiday classics, the program will feature Dan Forrest’s LUX: The Dawn from On High. Latin for “light,” LUX is a radiant five-movement work for chorus and orchestra that explores light in all its forms—from ancient chant and Scripture to poetry, joy, love, and deep peace. Following the performance of this stirring contemporary work, the evening continues in the beloved St. Louis spirit, lifting hearts with “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “O Holy Night,” “Joy to the World,” and other cherished sounds of Christmas. From reverent reflection to joyful celebration, this year’s “Christmas at St. Louis” offers a radiant musical journey through the warmth, wonder, and hope of the Christmas season.
