“Betelehemu” performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

We are glad that we have a
Father to trust.
We are glad to have a
Father to rely upon.

Where was Jesus born?
Where was he born?
Bethlehem the city of wonder.
That is where the Father was born for sure.

Praise, Praise, Praise be to Him.
We thank Thee,
We thank Thee for this day,
Gracious Father.
Praise be to Thee, Merciful Father.

“Ecce Novum” by Ola Gjeilo

A Lullaby from Britain
(Latin)

Behold, a new joy,
Behold, a new wonder!
A Virgin, who knew not a man,
Bears a son.
She knew not a man,
but as the pear-tree bears the pear,
The flourishing papyrus brings
The lily from the soil.
See how nature Changes her laws!
A pure virgin bears The son of God.

A hymn from Canada
(Huron / Wendat, English, Latin)

“The Huron Carol" is a Christmas hymn, written in 1643 by Jean de Brébeuf, SJ, a missionary priest at Sainte-Marie in Québec, New France. Brébeuf wrote the lyrics in the native language of the Huron / Wendat people; the song's title is "Jesous Ahatonhia" ("Jesus, he is born"). Its melody is a French folk song.
