Songs from Sea to Shining Sea: A Musical Salute to Veterans

Sunday, June 11th, 4pm
In St. Louis Church
The Columbia Orchestra
Free admission, no ticket required

The 2022-23 season finale, presented in collaboration with the Columbia Orchestra, features a program of patriotic favorites, selected to honor military veterans, and to showcase music by American composers.  The star-spangled salute includes “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” by Samuel Barber, “The Promise of Living” by Aaron Copeland, and “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” John Philip Sousa’s most beloved march. Finishing out the musical tribute to America is “Battle Hymn of the Republic” by Julia Ward Howe.
